Braves’ Tim Hudson May Sign Three-Year Extension

Tim Hudson of the Atlanta Braves is close to signing a three-year extension contract, according to MLB.com. The Web site stated that while “financial specifics weren’t provided…it’s believed that this three-year offer is worth $24-27 million.” The article also mentioned that Hudson’s current contract included a $12 million option for the 2010 season.

Hudson returned from elbow reconstruction surgery in September, and made it clear that he didn’t believe an extension contract would be offered. However, sources say that there are only a few minor details left before he should receive an official contract.
